OMG the sun is out! I think it is forecasted to be out all day. Hallelujah! I assume all my plants will shoot up about 2 feet. That’s right I took a break from moving/unpacking related items and worked in the garden. It is looking good, the house so needed some color along the front.
My poor husband, after work last night he had to come home and try to mow the lawn. I think he needed to mow the back 2x. He was really, really straining to push that mower yesterday. The ground was still wet and soft and the grass SO tall up to the kids knees. It was touch and go for awhile there whether the mower would make it through. It did…the kids looked hilarious chasing back and forth after him. I spotted them out the window..he would go walking by pushing the mower followed by little kids running, waving GIANT rhubarb leaves over their heads like flags.
After mowing everyone came in-spreading grass all over the house (naturally) then I had to shower the kids using water I boiled on the stove. Luckily, the kids found this whole thing a giant adventure. We will be without hot water all weekend. I can tell you that it is a major pain in the ass. I did a cold (icy even) shower yesterday!! EEEK never showered that fast in my life. I used the kid soap (triple action body wash, shampoo and conditioner) I was wonderfully watermelony all day long!!
Today is a fun day, going to an event geared towards kids at a local park. Make your own bug cages and so forth the kids are thrilled…of course that means, they will be bug hunting when they get home. Just what I need more bugs in the house.
We had an ant infestation last night, got some spray kills on contact it says…yeah my ass it does. We had to squish them. I am very tired of bugs and water problems.
