Today is strawberry picking day. We did it last year and had such a good time, of course, with the kids you could pick TONS of fruit. We always stop before they are ready. When we went apple picking in the fall we got something like 8lbs of apples and that was after I stopped them. Last year, we got so many strawberries that I had to make strawberry jam. Which was very, very tasty.
Working on the marketing project. It is very interesting, a lot different then what I usually do. I would like to get a few more writing jobs. I keep sending out queries so…what else can a girl do.
We have a problem with ants at this house. We have tried spray (sorta works) gel (groovy but seems not to be effective) and some sorta ant defense system we put around the house, yet with all these things the ant are still getting in. Naturally, I understand with the kids and all the food/sweets etc that drop we are an ants dream, but I don’t know what to do to MAKE them go away permanently.
Found out yesterday, that the SuperGeek can come with us on our 4th of July trip. That is so exciting. He hasnt been on a trip with us in 3 years!! His store is closed for the 4th and he got the 5th off, probably because he is working from now until the 4th non stop. Gotta make sure everyone can get their car serviced before the 4th. My mom is thrilled that he is coming along, she has visions of the guys watching the kids while we go into some shops…..it could happened.
Tomorrow is Cedarburgs, strawberryfest…yes, I am sensing a theme here, yes we are going. The kids are looking forward to it, they are hoping to see some school chums up there. I just want to noodle around looking at all the stuff. Mom is coming along, she has been having such trouble with her leg that I don’t know if she will enjoy it or not.
